FUCK YEAH, OBAMA!!!

Obama Projected to Win 2nd Term: AP

Also, and this totally may be a local/network thing, but I'm slightly amused that both the local affiliate and national news teams sent two reporters, one a person of color (POC) and a woman of color, to cover the Obama Victory Rally, while they sent the white, male reporter to cover the Romney Victory Party Death Knell. (For the record, I was watching the coverage on NBC.) I just thought it was interesting. Though, if I was in charge, I would've sent the woman of color over to the Romney/Republican party, in the hope that it would be an Obama/Democratic victory, because I am not above rubbing a little salt into a misogynist wound. Not at all.

heh--my whole f'list this morning is filled with WOOOO GO-BAMA!

That's funny about the reporters. Meaning ironic and interesting. And I might have to steal that gif.

The pessimistic in me was waiting for it to be called a Romney/Ryan victory; especially with pundits predicting how close the numbers would be. I don't think I was this nervous last election. Then again, I don't remember McCain being afraid that McCain would send us women back to the kitchen like Romney/Ryan obviously wanted to do.

And damn, Ohio, thanks for taking your sweet time counting all them votes. (Though, I'm pretty sure they held back some of the numbers for the drama, knowing they would be the "deciding" state.) Also, Florida, what the hell is going on down there? I loved the stunned look on Brian Williams face when they got word that one of the Florida counties was refusing to finish their ballot counting, and would finish up tomorrow (today) morning. As of 9:30 am EST, there is still no official word on who won Florida.

Heh. Steal away--I stole it from someone on Oh No They Didn't! :D

My high school English teacher once suggested that we line up dynamite along Florida's state line and just blast it away from the rest of America--this was during the 2000 election, Bush vs Gore. That was an interesting year.

BWAHAHAHA!

I said almost the exact same thing to my brother: Let's just chop Florida off and leave it to float in the Atlantic.
